After having celebrated their wedding in Venice, Donna and Joel wanted us to follow them in Seattle for another wedding shooting – with different dresses, this time – and for their wedding reception. After a very long journey of more than 20 hours’ plane, we got to Bellevue, the city were the couple lives, and where they booked us a suite in one of the two skyscrapers that compose their condominium – if you can call it so! After a first day of touring around Bellevue and Seattle with them, it was up time for the day of their wedding party. Donna and Joel got ready separately in their attic at the Bravern, two towers of lofts, suites and high class shops in Bellevue. Donna wore a beautiful dress designed by L.A. designer Hermez, the same Lilly Ghalichi wore for her Water Diamond Event. Before starting the shooting, we organized a second “first look” as the one we didi in Venice: another lovely moment! The Bravern was the ideal place to start the shooting, among high class shops and the luxury of its apartments. In the parking of Bravern, the spouses found a wonderful vintage Rolls Royce. On that car we went to Seattle, at the Gas Works Park, once gasification plant, today a great place for the shootings! After the photos at the Gas Works we moved to Downtown Seattle, among the Space Needle and the EMP Museum.. Same here – there was an embarrassing wealth of options for the photos! After the shooting we went to the location of the wedding reception, The Ruins, a private dining club in Seattle. It was probably one of the most incredible places one can find: built inside an abandoned factory, it is rich in crazy and colorful objects (like full-size wooden elephant and unicorn!) and looks like a perfect set for an Alice in Wonderland-style story. More or less twenty guests were waiting for Donna and Joel enjoying an aperitif. Once the couple entered the room, we moved to the wedding dinner hall – painted in very dark but brilliant color, fully-decorated and with a painter live painting the dinner itself! Donna and Joel wanted us to sit in their table, and first of all they showed the guests the slideshow of their wedding in Venice, dedicating to us the first toast of the evening – just breath-taking! After the dinner it was the time of the dances, with the awesome jazz-swing band of Danny Quintero, in which Joel’s nanny sang, too! The evening finished with a sparkler send off of the couple to their second wedding car, a beautiful London-style taxi. A great day for a wonderful couple!
